Getting Started
▾The Way of the Oracle is a 38-card deck inspired by the timeless archetypes of the Tarot's Major Arcana. Each card acts as a symbolic mirror, offering you clarity, reflection, and guidance as you move through the cycles of life.
This deck is designed for seekers of truth, dreamers, and wanderers who wish to explore their inner wisdom. The cards are not meant to predict the future with certainty, but rather to illuminate your path and highlight opportunities for growth.
Before You Begin
Hold your question or intention in your heart as you shuffle. Breathe deeply. Trust that the right card will reveal itself to you.
Daily Card Practice
▾Pull one card each morning as a message or theme for your day. This is the simplest and most powerful practice.
How to do it
- Wake, breathe, and set a gentle intention or question
- Shuffle your deck while holding the question
- Draw one card when it feels right
- Read the upright meaning and sit with the reflection question
- Journal any thoughts that arise
Evening Review
At the end of the day, revisit your card. Did its energy show up in your day? In what ways did the theme manifest?
Three Card Spread
▾The three card spread is a versatile foundation for any reading. Use it for past-present-future guidance or a mind-body-spirit check-in.
Shuffle the deck while focusing on your question. Lay three cards from left to right and read each in the context of its position.
Five Card Path Spread
▾The five card spread gives a fuller picture of a situation and the path forward. Perfect for significant decisions or when you need deeper clarity.
Journaling with the Cards
▾Use the cards as journaling prompts to deepen your self-reflection practice.
Prompts to get you started
- What is this card's message for me right now?
- How does the reflection question apply to my current situation?
- Where do I see the shadow aspect showing up in my life?
- If this card could speak, what would it say?
Rituals & Sacred Space
▾Creating your reading space
Light a candle, place crystals or meaningful objects nearby, and take a few deep breaths before working with the cards. This signals to your subconscious that you're entering a reflective space.
Moon Phase readings
New Moon: Draw a card for the intention you're setting. Full Moon: Draw a card for what needs to be released or celebrated. You can display the card on your altar throughout the lunar phase.
Meditation with the cards
Choose a card intentionally or draw one randomly. Sit quietly with the image, letting its symbols and colors speak to you. Notice what feelings or images arise in your mind's eye.
Reading the Shadow
▾Every card carries both an upright and a shadow aspect. The shadow is not negative — it's the part of the energy that may be blocked, excessive, or unconscious in your current situation.
When a reading feels challenging, lean into the shadow meaning. Ask: "Where might this shadow energy be operating in my life without my awareness?" Shadow readings often yield the most profound insights.
Working with shadow cards
Don't fear a difficult card. The oracle meets you where you are. Every shadow contains the seed of its upright potential — the Storm clears the way, the Labyrinth leads to discovery.
